Apply these settings to all your images?

This updates the settings of every image: compression, format, file names, brand and Google's AI tag. Changes you made to a single image are replaced.

    What a photo can reveal

Phones, cameras and AI tools store metadata inside every image. All of this is removed:

    • GPS location

The exact place the photo was taken: your home, workshop or warehouse.

    • Camera and serial number

Make, model, lens and sometimes the serial number of the device.

    • Date and time

When the photo was taken and edited, down to the second.

    • AI generation tags

C2PA Content Credentials, “AI-generated” tags and the name of the AI tool that made the image.

    • Editing history

XMP data left by editing apps: software, settings, sometimes file paths.

    • Previous credits

Names, contacts and copyright left by a supplier or photographer.

    What changes inside your files

A photo can carry much more than pixels. Here is an example product photo, before and after.

Why clean your photos before publishing?

    • Protect your privacy: many small shops work from home, and a geotagged photo can point straight to it.
    • Look professional: supplier names, old copyrights and editing details shouldn't travel with your product photos.
    • Lighter files: metadata and embedded thumbnails add weight without adding anything visible.
    • Start clean, then add back only what helps you: your brand, copyright, website and alt text.

How to remove EXIF data from a photo

    1. 01

      Add your photos

Drop, choose or paste JPEG, PNG or WebP images, as many as you need.

    2. 02

      Metadata is removed

Lossless, the default here, only removes the metadata: pixels aren't touched. Pick Balanced if you'd like lighter files too.

    3. 03

      Download clean files

Save them one by one or all together in a ZIP, ready to publish.

    Questions, answered

The short version: it's free, your photos stay on your device, and a JPEG stays a JPEG.

    Something else? hello@imageseoforai.com

Does removing EXIF data reduce image quality?

No. With Lossless, the default on this page, only the metadata is removed and the pixels stay exactly the same. Quality only changes if you choose another level to compress the image as well.

Is my location stored in my photos?

It can be. Phones usually save GPS coordinates when the camera app is allowed to use location. Some messaging apps remove them when sending, but photos copied straight from a phone or camera often keep them.

Don't online stores remove metadata automatically?

Some do, partly, when they process images, but practices vary between platforms and can change. Removing it yourself before uploading is the only way to be sure.

    What exactly is removed?

Everything that isn't needed to display the image: EXIF data (including GPS location, camera details and dates), XMP, IPTC, C2PA Content Credentials and embedded thumbnails. Only the details you choose to add, like your brand or alt text, are written back.

Can I remove metadata from many photos at once?

Yes. Drop a whole batch and download every cleaned photo in a single ZIP.
